Nation Point

When we researched Nation Point it was hard to find any information, especially information that would be positive and intriguing.

Unfortunately their website (www.nationpoint.com) did not pull up at all. We tried several times over a period of time and always got an error message "page cannot be displayed".

Some websites list contact information, but even that data could not be verified.

Here is the 'official' company description pulled from Business Week:

Company Overview NationPoint is a direct home purchase lender in America. The company offers loan options for home purchase and refinance. It also offers mortgage financing services. NationPoint was formerly known as First Franklin Direct. The company was founded in 1996 and is based in Lake Forest, California. NationPoint operates as a subsidiary of National City Corp. As of December 30, 2006, NationPoint is a subsidiary of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.

After Bank of America bought Merrill Lynch, it is quite possible that NationPoint loans are now served and maintained by Bank of America.
